Who this covers
This Privacy Policy covers the Griddle mobile app and the public pages at playgriddle.app. Roar Positivity, Inc. is the publisher and the data controller for information we handle through these services.
What we collect
Account information
If you protect an account, we process your email address and a user ID so we can sign you in and restore your progress. You may also choose a handle, display name, avatar, or other profile details for private friend play.
Gameplay and social information
We process saved games, board actions, scores and verified results, settings, friend requests, private invites, Circle membership, reactions, reports, blocks, and related status needed to provide the features you choose. Private social information is shown only to the people and groups allowed by the feature and your settings.
Technical information
We may receive app version, operating-system and device details, security events, and limited product-interaction or diagnostic information when needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, investigate failures, or answer support requests. We do not ask for precise location, contacts, health information, camera or microphone access for the core game.
What is not active at launch
Griddle does not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use an advertising identifier. The launch app has no advertising, in-app purchases, or subscriptions enabled.
How we use information
- Provide the game, save progress, restore accounts, and sync the features you enable.
- Run private friend play, invites, Circles, reports, blocks, and moderation workflows.
- Protect the integrity of scores and games, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
- Respond to support, privacy, safety, and account-deletion requests.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce the rules that keep Griddle safe.
When information is shared
We use carefully limited providers for hosting, authentication, email delivery, storage, security, and diagnostics. They may process information only to provide services to us and under their own security and confidentiality obligations.
We do not sell personal information. When you send an invite, challenge, or friend request, the information needed for that action is shared with the chosen recipient. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or during a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Your choices
You can review privacy controls, export your account data, sign out, and delete a protected account in Settings → Account & privacy. You can also ask for access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy by emailing privacy@playgriddle.app. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Deleting an account revokes sessions and removes or anonymizes account-linked data as described in the deletion flow. We may retain limited records where necessary for security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, then delete, anonymize, or aggregate it when practical. We use encrypted transport, access controls, private-by-default social data, and server-side authorization. No online service can promise absolute security, so please protect your sign-in links and tell us promptly about anything suspicious.
Children and international use
Griddle is not directed to children who are below the minimum age permitted in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without the required authorization. If you believe a child has provided information, contact privacy@playgriddle.app.
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers.
